And it is about Rama's birth
Kasarabada.org welcomes you all ...
We have been continuously updating our Ramayana pages , so this time we are bringing a special page on Rama's birth. We all know it as Rama navami , celebrated hardly a couple of weeks ago. Valmiki Ramayan being the very first rendering of Ramayana, we wanted to piece together all that comes in Balakanda of Ramayana about birth of Rama ! . The Srirama Jananam or Rama's birth page presents the same !!.
On the eve of the 250th issue we checked with our Analytics dept.. ( Google Analytics !!) It showed that during the preceding thirty days we had 1024 visitors and 3300 pages visited . Our visitors spanned about 333 cities across the world. Normal pattern of Bangalore and Hyderabad being number one and two cities with Chennai and Mumbai being third and fourth has been disturbed by Delhi coming in from no where into top two with 170 visitors !! We have some body from "Burton upon Trent" which sounds very much like a British city spending forty five minutes. He was followed by one from George Town (Penang,, Malayasia ) with average visit time of twenty five minutes for his visits !! The trophy for highest number of pages visited goes to our friends from George Town. They are followed by all our well wishers ( twenty three of them ) from Visakhapatnam in India who hopped through nine pages on average during their visits ( Thanks !!) !!
All this is an encouragement for improving quality of the site. The first step in this direction will be in reducing the HTML links which seem to clutter all pages. We will have minimal links from all pages. We are starting on this now and the clean up effort will take a couple of months ! Hopefully we will bring it to your notice !
This week we are bringing 38th Sarga of Balakanda. This comes with the new commitment for lesser number of links. the page of 38th Sarga has links related to 38th Sarga only . As you may have notices we bring 38th Sarga with Sanskrit slokas in Devanagari , Telugu and Kannada with meanings in English and Telugu . From the page of 38th Sarga you have to go back to Balakanda page for seeing all other Sargas . or Go to Ramayanam page for seeing anything related to Ramayanam on this site or go back all the way to Home to see other topics like Bhagavatam etc.
We hope to make this the norm !.
This week we also have an interesting line under "one more thing". It is an old line from Mahabharata.
తే శతం హి వయం పంచ / ते शतं हि वयं पंच
It is a line I used and may be overused too !! It has endless possibilities ! .. that is only if there is a person willing to listen !
